unfortunately for me, I have expensive taste in clothes. i am a 21 year old student. i do not have a lot of expendable income to spend on clothes, especially expensive designer brands like Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Coco Chanel, etc.. i want to be able to look like i walked off the page of an issue of Vogue.
while attempting to stay current with fashion i am still working on my unique style, but i have found a website that lets me do this more affordably. the website is thredup.com. this website allows you to shop through gently used regular and designer brands at more affordable prices.
i know that it may sound like i am advertising for this website, but it's all true! go see for yourself. though the designer brands aren't as dirt cheap as the regular brands, they are still more affordable than buying them at retail price.
one of my jobs is to be your guinea pig. i have bought a few items from thredup and they were both in excellent condition. the first item i bought took a while to arrive, but when it did i was not disappointed with the item it was a triangl bikini. unfortunately when i tried it on it was one size too small.
be careful about the sizes!
also if you want something immediately i would recommend the expedited shipping!
hopefully this website will make shopping for your winter capsules much easier and perhaps even more enjoyable!
okay, as i mentioned earlier i am still trying to figure out what my style is. i am not sure what i want my wardrobe to say about ME. as the great Nina Garcia puts it, our wardrobe is our first impression and we need to be confident in what we wear because a beautiful woman can turn heads when she walks into a room, but a confident woman gets stares.
one way that i have started to figure out what i like is by curating outfits that i would like to wear, but don't own, or don't have the confidence to wear just yet [or both].
the website i do this at is called polyvore.com. this website allows you to find clothes, shoes, accessories and even make up to create outfit "sets" as they are called. the sets are made by you and they include very real articles of clothing that are available for purchase if you follow the links!
i hope that you found both of these items exciting and inspiring! please leave comments and use the links throughout this post!
here is a sample of one that i made today!
